2016-03-14-1457919607-8705379-resurrectionHow far will you go to share the light of Christ? My wife, Bre, has been praying and working extra hard to engage our neighbors, so she set up an Easter Egg Hunt for twenty neighborhood children this Saturday. Last week, I received an email from her asking if I would consider being “Easter Bunny” for the event. Ha! I gotta’ admit that while reading her email, I hesitatingly asked myself, “Just how far will I go to share the light of Christ?”

All of us at MBC must “go the extra mile” to share the light of Christ. Throughout the year we get the chance to shine in a myriad of personal ways but each Easter we get the chance to proactively shine together! Hundreds of you have been praying about a certain friend or family member you’d like to bring to church this Sunday – Don’t wait another moment. Don’t let insecurity or doubt trump what is right. Make the call or send the text, “I’m going to church this Easter! Are you willing to join me?”

One day, when the final roll of heaven is called, and we all stand giving account for our time on earth, the movie nights, fancy dinners, nice homes, and large portfolios, will have long faded. Left standing, will be only the words of God and the people saved; the people we prayed for, the people we ministered to, and the people we shared the gospel with. From the throne, Christ will thunder, “How far did you go to share My light?” and we must have a proper answer. Prayerfully your answer will be far better than, “I was the Easter Bunny” but, alas, even the humblest faith and sincerest touch will matter!

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” -2 Cor 5:10
